Mayo Clinic Recognized by USCAP for Abstracts at 2012 USCAP Annual Meeting

The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) has recognized Mayo Clinic for its participation in the 2012 USCAP Annual Meeting held in March in Vancouver. Mayo Clinic had the second highest number of first authored scientific abstracts accepted for presentation at the annual meeting. More than 3,000 scientific abstracts were submitted from more than 400 different medical school programs and academic institutions, the highest number ever submitted. Mayo Clinic was represented with 12 platform presentations and 82 poster presentations.

Mayo Clinic was also one of the top three programs in the world for number of first-authored scientific abstracts submitted for the prestigious Stowell-Orbison Awards Competition for pathologists in training.
