Several members of Mayo Clinic's Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology took home awards from the 2012 American Association for Clinical Chemistry Annual Meeting held last week in Los Angeles.
Leslie Donato, Ph.D., Clinical Chemistry fellow, took first place in the Student Oral Presentation and Erin Kaleta, Ph.D., Clinical Chemistry fellow received first place in the Student Poster Presentation. Mayo Clinic swept both of these awards last year as well.
In addition, Alan Lueke, development technologist in Cardiovascular Laboratory Medicine, won second place in the Lipoproteins and Vascular Diseases Division for his poster entitled "Quantitation of Erythrocyte Omega-3 Fatty Acids Using On-Line Extraction and Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)."
