Advanced Biological Laboratories, Mayo Medical Laboratories Announce Collaboration

LUXEMBOURG--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Advanced Biological Laboratories (ABL), S.A, and Mayo Medical Laboratories have announced a collaboration agreement to develop a deep-sequencing pipeline for novel diagnostic laboratory-developed tests. The novel tests will be validated using clinical samples selected by the Mayo Clinic Division of Clinical Microbiology. The collaboration will also seek to generate a sequence database to which clinical isolates can be compared. Advanced information technology developments will be led by ABL under the expertise of Mayo Clinic staff.

The ViroScore® report compares mutations found in the virus to mutations captured in knowledge bases and the demonstrated impact they have on making viruses more or less sensitive to drugs (resistance).

Financial terms of the agreements have not been disclosed.
