Mayo Clinic is expanding its Superior Drive Support Center in Rochester, which currently houses Mayo Medical Laboratories. The expansion will add more than 70,000 square feet of laboratory, support, and office space, and additional parking and restrooms, to improve operations and accommodate increased testing. The expansion is scheduled to be completed in summer 2015.

Mayo Clinic will expand its Superior Drive Support Center to make room for the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Mayo broke ground on a new facility at 3050 Superior Drive NW that will occupy three laboratories that have been located at Mayo's downtown campus. Mayo Clinic is ramping up its laboratory space in Rochester with an almost 70,000-square-foot expansion of its Superior Drive Support Center (30,000 of which will be laboratory space). Clinic officials broke ground Monday morning to officially launch the project to expand Mayo Medical Laboratories at 3050 Superior Drive NW.
