Jane Hermansen, Network Manager, Division of Utilization and Integration Services at Mayo Clinic, has been elected as President-Elect of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA). Hermansen will serve a two-year term in this role, followed by two-year terms as president and past president, respectively.
As President-Elect, Hermansen will act as a voting member of the Board of Directors, attend board meetings, and automatically succeed to the presidency position.
About Jane Hermansen
Ms. Hermansen has worked at Mayo Clinic for 26 years and has been an active CLMA member since 1999. She has been involved in many committee roles through CLMA over her tenure and published numerous articles in Clinical Leadership and Management Review (CLMR). Hermansen was elected to the International Board of Directors in 2013 and most recently held the position of chair for the Council on Professional Development. As President-Elect, Hermansen hopes to enhance CLMA's contribution to its members and increase member engagement.
Board of Directors Elections from Mayo Clinic
Elected to the Board of Directors for the 2015–2016 session is Deb Wells, Quality Management Coordinator, Division of the Department of Laboratory and Medical Pathology of Quality Management Services at Mayo Clinic, who will be serving her second term as Director. Rodney Forsman, Assistant Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, was also elected as Treasurer.
