Jason Yuhas Elected Board President of Association of Genetic Technologists

Jason Yuhas, Education Specialist at Mayo Clinic, has been elected President of the Association of Genetic Technologists (AGT) Board of Directors. Yuhas will serve as president for four years, the first two years served as president-elect followed by a two-year term as president.

About Jason Yuhas
Yuhas currently works as an Education Specialist in the Cytogenetics Laboratory. He has worked in the field of cytogenetics since 1998 and in the Cytogenetics Laboratory at Mayo since 2004.

Yuhas has been involved as a member of AGT since 2001 and has worked to present novel content at many of AGT’s annual meetings. He was elected to the AGT Board of Directors in 2011 and served two years as the annual meeting co-director (vice) followed by two years as the annual meeting director. Annual meeting responsibilities include the selection of qualified scientific session and workshop/seminar speakers, being a lead representative of AGT at the annual meetings, and ensuring the meeting is successful in all aspects. His goals as president will be to encourage the continued success of AGT and further encourage the education of cytogenetics and molecular genetics to the AGT membership.
