About the Award
The Gloria Gallo Research Award was established in 2009 to commemorate Gloria Gallo’s contributions to the field of renal pathology. Award recipients are chosen based on the impact of their research in the field of renal pathology. The award is presented by the chair of the Nominations and Awards Committee at the annual RPS business meeting
About Lynn Cornell, M.D.
Dr. Cornell is a Consultant in the Division of Anatomic Pathology and holds the academic title Associate Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
Dr. Cornell’s research focuses on interstitial nephritis, IgG4-related disease, and kidney transplant pathology.
Dr. Cornell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and a fellowship in renal pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
