The MLS program is renowned for its high standard of academic quality as well as its fast-paced and challenging curriculum. There are important strategies that become essential in order to get the most out of this experience. In other words, what are ways to keep up?
- Everyone in this program has different backgrounds and experiences, but we all have one thing in common: We love science! This gives us the possibilities to form great study groups, with people who are willing to study together for hours on end and who are also fun and interesting to hang out with. An important thing to remember when forming a study group is that individual studying is also important: Reading lessons before meeting with a group will ensure that everyone is on the same page, so most people will be able and are encouraged to come up with relevant questions. Study groups are also a great way to quiz each other and review old material.
- Don’t forget to go out and relax. As a class, we often hold fun events to serve as distractions. From “Sundaes on Tuesday” to tubing trips, someone always finds a way to get the class to engage in something fun.
