Ann Moyer, M.D., Ph.D.

Ann Moyer, M.D., Ph.D., Co-Director of the Mayo Clinic Personalized Genomics Laboratory, was recently honored with a 2017 Distinguished and Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville.

The Distinguished and Outstanding Alumni Award recognizes UW–Platteville alumni who have achieved career success. Recipients were honored during the university’s homecoming celebration on October 13.

“It is important to me to stay connected with UW–Platteville because many people helped me along the way to get to a career that I really enjoy,” Dr. Moyer said in a UW-Platteville news article. “Among those people were the amazing teachers, support staff, and other students at UW–Platteville. When I started college, I had an idea of the type of career I wanted, but I received a lot of advice from many people along the way that helped me figure out the details of what to do and how to get there. I feel that I can never repay the people who helped me get to where I am, but I would love to pay it forward and do anything I can to help the next group of students achieve their goals.”
